  • Scholarship Eligibility

    To be eligible for the EcoHugs Green Future Scholarship, please make sure you meet the requirements outlined below. Before applying, take a moment to review the qualifications to ensure you're eligible. We welcome applicants from all fields of study and GPA levels.

    Eligible candidates must be parents currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program at a U.S.-based institution of higher learning.

    Scholarship Winner Requirements:
    If selected, the scholarship recipient will be asked to submit a photo and a 100-150 word essay detailing how this scholarship will impact their life and their loved ones. We also encourage you to share an inspiring message for those who may read your story, as it will be featured on our website.

    Scholarship Application Deadlines
    The EcoHugs Green Future Scholarship is awarded twice a year, in the fall and spring. The application deadlines are September 30th and March 1st.

    Scholarship Value
    The Winner will earn a $500 scholarship. The EcoHugs Scholarship funds will be awarded directly to the recipient. These funds are intended to support essential educational expenses.

    Notification and Winner Announcement
    Winners will be notified by email one week before the official announcement date. We will select candidates who show the greatest potential to positively impact their family and community. The chosen recipient will be someone who aims to create meaningful, lasting change in both their immediate and extended environment.

    How You’ll Receive the Award
    The EcoHugs Green Future Scholarship check will be issued in the name of the recipient and their educational institution. It will be sent directly to the institution to cover necessary expenses.

How to apply for the EcoHugs Green Future Scholarship

To apply, complete the form below with a 500-1000 word essay that answers the following questions. We’re looking for someone with the potential to make a meaningful impact on their family and community. The EcoHugs Scholarship is designed for those who aspire to create positive change in both their close circle and beyond.

Share a time when you faced failure and how it shaped you. No one is perfect, and at EcoHugs, we value resilience.
